Márkanbáiki is an easily accessible, vibrant meeting place in Jukkasjärvi for day visitors who want to engage their senses to experience Sápmi.

Learn about reindeer, stroll through the outdoor exhibition area and try traditional Sámi food in charming Café Sápmi.

As a reminder of your visit you surely find some special item in our on-site handicraft shop.

Spring opening hours

Open daily, 14 April – 4 June 2020.
11.00 – 15.00.

Café Sápmi & guided tour

Lunch/pastry serving: 11.00 – 15.00

 

14 -26 April only: Guided reindeer feeding tour “Giđđaguossi” for drop-in visitors: appr 30 min 

Departure: 15.15 (after café and shop closing)

Admission fee 14-26 April:

Adult: SEK 200

Child (3-12 years): SEK 100
Student (with valid student ID): SEK 160
Free entry 27 April – 4 June:

Due to the spring thaw it can be a bit wet in the outdoor exhibition area, so access is limited, and the reindeer are away on their move towards the mountains. We still welcome visitors to explore the area on their own.
